which side does the carry handle fold to on a 91? I have scoured the internet and a majority seem to fold to the left side, but then I have seen some old pics that have it to the right (ejection side). Or is this a there is no right or wrong way thing?

Mine folds to the right only.

Mine folds to the left.

I think it's determined in how you install the handle to the metal clip.

This.
It can be turned either way inside the base. Which way it is turned will affect the direction it folds.

I don't understand how people are saying how it folds.  To me it is on the left side of the rifle and folds to the front.

I think you are confusing the "charging handle" with the "carrying" handle. The OP was asking about the "carrying handle"

I understand it can easily go either way, I was just unsure if there was a "correct" way. I have set mine to "fold" to the left for now, seems to be closer to the center of gravity that way. Thanks for the help guys.

I don't have mine on the rifle all of the time, but when I put my on I put it on the right side, so it is the same as my FAL carrying handle.

I had mine folding to the left until I put a scope on, I had to switch it around to clear the scope.

It most definitely is more centered when folding left, she becomes pretty back heavy the other way... YMMV

Oh I got it now.  Oops.

I would have guessed away from the ejection port.

thanks again guys. Here's one more question....

Do the PTR GI models have threaded barrels, or are the comps pressed on? I have a YHM on my FAL. I am in the processes of running down a can and would like to run it on both rifles if possible.
