I submitted an eForm F1 for an SBR last week and I accidentally put the wrong trust name in.  My trust is <myinitials><wife's initials> Trust, and I used the wrong letter for the initial of my last name.  Damn letters are right next to each other on the keyboard.

What can I expect?  I assume they'll catch it when the form gets reviewed.

UPDATE 10/4
Arghh..  got a disapproval.

"EFORM WITHDRAWN, REFUND IN PROCESS, WELCOME YOU RE-APPLY CORRECTING THE TYPOGRAPHIC ERROR / XXXX TRUST / FOLLOW-UP UPON RECEIVING NEW CONTROL NUMBER... TEC"

Now, that looks like it came from Ted Clutter; I got the disapproval email at 10:38 pm and I sent an email to Ted Clutter at 10:06 pm.  Are they really working at 10:30 on a Friday night?

I have submitted a new F1 with the correct trust name, we'll see how that one goes.

Now I'm going to email him again with the new control number; the comment on the disapproval sort of sounds like he said to email him with the new control number when submitted (which I just now completed).

Oh well, this has only cost me a week.

Send an email to Ted(dot)Clutter(at)ATF(dot)gov and explain what happened. Make sure to include serial number and control number.

Best case is they'll fix it for you. Worst case is they'll cancel it and you'll need to refile. You're only out a week's time if that happens.

You may be surprised. Usually people that email with the old and new control numbers get an approval within 24-48 hours. However, that's usually after a "real" disapproved form, not a cancelled one.

Be interesting to see how this plays out.

But yes, they work all kinds of odd hours. I've had email back-and-forths with the Program Manager and a Section Chief between 5p-9p on a Sunday evening.

Fingers crossed!  Nothing yet, but it's only been 6 hours

Maybe eForms is online and NFA branch can access at home. Working overtime without coming into office.

I thought the e forms were no longer, did they start them back up? Or does this not include silencers, just firearms?

It's not a matter of silencers or not...it's the fact the Form 1 exists in EForms, but the Form 4 does not. So, you can apply make a firearm (SBR/SBS/DD/AOW/silencer), but not transfer one in EForms. It's been that way since late June.

Ted Clutter was probably at work at that time. I've gotten emails back from him at midnight on fridays. The man works way too hard.

Well, I got an answer back from some guy at DOJ (or a DOJ email addy); he said to let him know the control number and he'd cancel and I could re-submit.  Told him I'd already done that.

Heck, it's been 5 days since my resubmit; where the heck is my stamp?!??

Got the stamp.  See this
