i recently did the butler creek cap with hole drilled in for my pvs14 and it worked stellar!!...now i picked up a pvs7 and am wondering if the same thing will work on it?

I assume you're using a small hole for operation during dusk/dawn or full-moon and perhaps for close-up focus improvement?




If so, then yes, that pretty much works on any lens that the cap will fit.




Any cap that fits a PVS-14 should fit a PVS-7B/D type NOD as well.

I have the butler creek size 09A cap with hole on my PVS-7 and it works great for focusing on close objects.  Cost me about $7.  I think I added 1 strip of electrical tape around the inside on the slip-on cap for a nice fit.
