I'm happy for the eforms Form 1 people that are getting their stamps in 30 days...but it's becoming more than a little frustrating that my Form 3 has taken almost a month and a half now. I just don't understand why F3s don't basically get the 'rubber stamp' treatment and approved. Yeah, they want to track shit...but it's not like they need to do a thorough background check or anything. Dealers license is still good? SEND IT for crying out loud! |

My in state form 3 is going on 3 months and a week so far...submitted first week of Nov 2014 I do believe an in-state item can be mailed to your door upon Form 4 approval. You could just about have it in your hands right now with the current approval time frame, and avoid a transfer fee. |

Form 3's are SOT to SOT tax free transfers...................we don't pay a tax on each NFA item. |

My latest Form 3 gun arrived yesterday. The Form 3 was submitted the last week of October. Three and a half months. ![]() Holy ****ing shit, I hope that's an anomaly... Mine was the same but the ATF lost my form 3 and the timeframe was basically the wait for 2 form 3's. I'd hope his is the same and not just someone taking their time. All of my other 3 have been 6-8 weeks. |
| Pretty much. When they rolled out E-forms they should have started with Form 3 and it should have been instantaneous approval. Basically input your FFL, input the recipient's FFL, if both are valid the NFRTR database is automatically updated and you can mail it out tomorrow. |

I asked ATF this question twice and both times Lee Alston Williams dodged the question. |

The incoming dealer almost always charges a fee for the service. |
