every dam time I clean my HK 93 it's a nightmare getting this bolt assembly back together and working properly. I read every diagram
and followed every instruction and believe I have an understanding of how everything should work....yet it seems like it gets harder and harder for me.
The spring on the locking lever is so strong that a silver back gorilla in the zoo would have trouble pushing it down let alone any human. (the gun hasn't been fired much)

So today I finally gave the fuck up, something I have never done before, and I took my gun and bolt assembly to a place that actually sells mp5's etc.. and has an "Hk expert" on staff.
I sat there and watched 3 experts struggle with my bolt for more than an hour, locking it up... then struggling to unlock it..etc..  getting it jammed after turning it a few degrees etc.. .. then I did god knows what and the dam thing just turned as it is supposed to do and
went into place. So I get the thing home and guess what? it still wont slide into my rifle because although the rollers are loose, they still are not flush to allow the bolt assembly to slide into the gun.

I have many guns, some way more complicated internally then this, and yet never any problems....this one always problems.

So am I the only one? It seems like my other HK 93 I had was less trouble.....maybe this one is too stiff or something?

any advise would be appreciated.

Follow the directions in the link in post #2 and you shouldnt have a problem. That is exactly how it needs to be done.

FYI Start at step #4 if you already have the bcg disassembled.

Post # 2:

As you look at the bolt face, holding the bolt carrier, turn the bolt 90 degrees in a counter clockwise direction. It can be tough to do, there's not a lot of room to grab onto.

In this case we were advised to use the original leather sling and our thumb like a swivel oil filter wrench. Works perfect.

What you need is a day of practice, blindfolded, with a  real drill instructor behind you,,,

It worked for these guys f.e.:

A Panzergrenadier platoon during the AGA (basic training for conscripts) in 2000.

Is it me or does the guy in the bottom left have 2 receivers?

Twist it with a crescent wrench using light pressure, and push down on the tail of the bolt head locking lever (sometimes the spring is overzealous) so it allows the bolt to twist freely.

really with a crescent wrench? I thought it was a bad idea to use a wrench on a bolt?

Thanks for all the help. I guess I just need to shoot it more since unlike my other guns, it's mostly a safe queen. More than anything it seems I'm missing a certain correct feel when I twist it as I do tend to lock it up repeatedly

I definitely have a  overzealous spring though

Try it once or twice, see if it works.  The wrench is leverage for if the bolt body is tight in the carrier (a poster above mentioned using their slings to do the same thing), and you should only have to use finger pressure If it doesn't spin over, the locking lever is hanging it up, which is when you push it open.

These tools are well worth the $20:

Bolt carrier assembly tool

I've done it without it and generally get really frustrated but finally get it back together.  This tool makes it easy.

+1

I no longer even try disassembling and reassembling with out this tool.  Just too easy by comparison.

It would take me about 30 minutes to reassemble my bolt/carrier then I got a tool. Takes seconds now.
