hello all, just got my first can today [gemtech HVT w/ bi-lock mount] and have a few questions for anyone that has experience with these suppressors: - is it really required to use their special tool to mount the bi-lock flash suppressor? i don't have a wrench that fits the flats correctly [i'm assuming it's some proprietary size; please correct me if i am wrong] and it seems that unless i "rent or purchase" their special tool that mounts to a 1/2" socket, i can't use a torque wrench to tighten it onto the barrel and acheive the suggested 20-30 lbs accurately. i know i can jury-rig a wrench to crank it down as tight as i can, but that doesn't seem like a good idea. any suggestions? - i [solidly] hand-tightened the mount onto the barrel just to figure out how to mount/dismount the can and noticed that there is a tiny [we're talking a mm or two] amount of lateral play on the can when fully mounted as per the instuctions; is this normal for suppressors with a quick mount, or should it be "rock solid"? very wary about a baffle strike because it's not mounted properly. sorry for the newbie questions, but i just don't want to go off and screw up a brand new suppressor. any advice would be very helpful. thanks! ron |

one place to get rocksett I'm sure aac, gemtech, yhm or any of suppressor manufactures probably has it for sale. might even check with a dealer if you have one close by. |
