I just left an auction site that is selling magazines.  I saw three different groups of people bidding on a three different new in box factory mini 14 30 round mags.  One was 125. and still going.  Another was 306.99 and still going.  And finally one at 355. and still going.  I passed on all.  I also learned a new category.  ANIB.  Almost new in box!  Thank goodness I have my good working ANIB Ramline 30's and ANIB 50 round Ramline for my 10/22.  I bet if I put them on that auction, and with the monies I get, I could buy a new upper.

Doesn't sound like gouging per se.
It sounds like the market is taking off.

ANIB usually stands for "As new in box", generally meaning that it has been owned by someone, taken out and handled but never actually used.

Or, look at it this way, those three mags will cost you as much as an AR-15.  Hell, buy the AR-15 and get someone that doesn't know better to buy the Mini-14 and spend the mini-14 money to buy LOTS OF QUALITY MAGS!

I put my two generic butler creek 30rnd 10-22 mags on ebay and both are going for close to $100.  Have to pay for that Rem 700 I just picked up :)
