I HAD a pair of the shorties in black, up until losing them after serving a warrant  . I didn't have any issues with them turning my hands different colors. As soon as the local shop our dept uses has them in stock again, I'll be getting another pair. They are pretty comfortable. Kind of wish they had puncture proof fingertips though.
