I am interested in getting a ruger american predator and scope hydro dipped in a camo pattern. Has anyone ever had this done and do they dip it as one solid piece(to keep pattern right) or in separate pieces?

I thought or purchasing some duracoat and trying it myself but after getting supplies, time, and my complete lack of artistic abilities it seemed better to have it done.

Also does anyone have any recommendations on whom to to send it off to? Thanks for all the help.

I am interested in this too. I found one person in my somewhat local area. Doesn't seem real hard but I'm sure experience counts for something.  I want to try it out and would like some feedback from ARFCOM family if they have tried it and how easy it was

It depends on what is being dipped and how good the applicator is.

Doing it yourself isn't that easy. I tried once. Water temp has to be just right, the amount of activator needs to be just right, etc.

Simple stocks can be dipped as a whole, as long as the applicator is good. Thumb hole type stocks work best when dipping each side separately.
