| Ok We all know IR illuminator's come in wave length from 805,830,860,940. I know the higher towards 940 you go the less range the IR Illum will have. My ??? is say at 940 will the red glow from the IR Illums lens be less visable to the eye vs a 805? |
Hi Terry, during the initial trials for the new variable beam torches we were designing, we tried 860 and 940nm, but we could not get the distance we needed, The red glow is much dimmer at the 940 wave length though. Hope this helps. Vic |
About 200 yards MAX...On a dark night I saw the beam, but not very bright. I think the true effective range would have been 150 yards. |
