just wondering on what a fair price would be for a ithaca 12g model 37 featherlight about 70-80 percent blueing
I have a friend that is going to sell it to me he just wants to find out a price so he is going to go to a local gunshop and ask. I think they will quote him to high |
| Just doing a quick look on GB, I see them starting anywhere from $200 up to $500. One in this condition, I would probably offer him about $250, and wouldn't pay anymore than about $300 for one in that condition. On GB, you could find one that is listed as about 90% with a starting bid of $299. Having said that, I love the Model 37, and have hunted with 37's in 12 and 20 ga since I was a kid. I have an old Model 37 in 12 ga that I just retired. It is the gun that my father got as a college graduation present. Between my father and I, it has been going strong for over 40 years, countless rounds have gone through it, and it has many years left in it. THe only reason that it was retired, is that I found a good deal on a little 20ga O/U, otherwise, I would still be hunting with it. |
