I am thinking of trading in my high point or selling it so I can get a kel-tec 40 s&w sub-2000.  I like the versitility of the kel-tec as perhaps a camping or backpacking gun.  Does this sound like a good idea?  I couldn't find any real threads on a kel-tec sub 2000, any recommendations?

The Kel Tec seems to have an advantage over the HiPoint as backpack gun since it can fold.  However, I don't think there's a good way to put glass on the Kel Tec, so you can't really use a red dot on it like you can the HiPoint.

Yeah I'm not caring so much of putting glass on the kel-tec anyway.

I had one. I kept it in a backpack in my car with a change of clothes, an MRE spare loaded mags and a camelback and still had room for more shit. Makes a great ditch bag weapon if you need it. Feels odd when you shoot it though just a small tube stock that you feel the recoil on your cheek but it isnt jarring or anything bad just "different". Wish I would have kept it. Mine took glock mags and you can get plenty of cheap used ones from CDNN.
