What do you folks use to polish up the edge on your knifes?

I've heard good things about the Spyderco Tri-hone.  Any other suggestions?  It'll be use on the kitchen knives, skinning knives, as well as a couple of benchmade folders, and with a little practice, I've got a Chris Reeves Project 1, and will have a Randall model 1 by the end of the year.

Also, should I pick up a leather strop for polishing.

I bought some diamond sharpeners from dia-sharp.  My favorites are the size of a credit card but I got some that are on a plastic handle.  The handle is about the length of a tooth brush handle the the sharpening part is a bit bigger than the head of a tooth brush.

All my oil stones and larger diamond impregnated sharpeners have been sitting in a drawer for a year or so now and I see no need to get them out.

I sharpen smaller knives by moving them over the sharpener and for large bowie knives or my hatchet or axe I move the sharpener over the edge.

These things come in 3 or 4 grits, I have rough and fine and extra fine.  I should get a strop but have never used one and am pretty happy with the extra fine diamond sharpener.

One reason I like these sharpeners is they are easy to pack with you so I am always touching my edges up while using them.  And I use them for everything from the kitchen cutlery to the ax.
