So i have an 870 21" turkey express. I have added a 3 shot extension and barrel clamp. I have wood stock and forend from boyds ordered and on the way. Now I am looking at sling mounts. I saw this one from GG&G http://www.gggaz.com/remington-870-sling-and-flashlight-combo-mount.html

I like that it is not on the pump but close mag tube nut so it easier to reach. It also looks like it has a ball and detent to help secure the mag extension nut better. Anyone have this? If so, how has it been? Any issues?

Thanks

I don't have that set up but GG&G makes good stuff and I am with you, I don't want my sling mount, light or anything else on the pump.

I have the version that Streamlight makes that is a lot like that on one of my shotguns and a magpul light mount mounted on the mlok of a magpul forend on another.

I like them both, the Streamlight mount is great, can click it on and not worry about any bobble or bumping if you hand on the slide but the downside is that if you hand slides forward while you are working the slide, you are going to smash the hell out of it on the end of the flashlight or the mount.  It has happened to me twice while I was doing longer strings, my hand worked just a hair too far forward and I smashed it right into the back of my TLR on the streamlight mount.

To try to prevent this, I used a magpul forend and put a magpul light mount on it and don;t have the hand smashing problem, but you get more flashlight movement while you are working the slide.

Pick your poison I guess.
