A old coworker gave me 8lbs of Accurate/DATA 2200. I don't have anything to use this for besides .223. I have 1k pulled M855 projo's. I'm not seeing any load data on their website. The back of the jug reads 55gr max load is 23.5gr and for a 69gr max load is 21.5. Think I'll be alright with 20gr using a 63gr projo? Also, are wolf primers GTG for use in an AR or SCAR since they have free floating firing pins? Thanks! Test fired my loads today with the regular Tula primers....everything was gtg and was nailing a 8in gong at 200. It was almost boring. I really like this for a plinking load for my SCAR. It has no problem digesting it suppressed and un. |

http://www.accuratepowder.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/DP2200.pdf They reintroduced this as AA-2200, though it is not identical. Looks like 21.0gr to 22.0gr will be fine, if not give top velocity. |

Thank you but I have already pulled that up. I only assume that I'll be ok because I'm 1.5gr under the load for a 69gr projo. |

Quoted: Sounds good to me. Thanks. Will report back when I get some down range....barring anything going wrong. Quoted: Thank you but I have already pulled that up. Quoted: I usually use BLC-2 or H335 for my 223 loads, but I have had nothing but awesome experiences with the 63 grain Sierra. Love that bullet - it's my go-to accurate round for my coyote gun. I think I'm going to switch to varget after I blow through this 8lb jug....it was free afterall. |

Quoted: whoops. Mine are copper in color and not wolf, they're Tula. I misspoke earlier. I always lump tula in with wolf. They're also not magnum like yours. Why do you use magnum? More uniform ignition? Don't you have to back off a wee bit when using magnum primers? Like a half grain? http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg272/dryflash3/Powder%20%20and%20Primers/PC300710.jpg Wolf primers are GTG, just be sure to get the correct SR primer, they make 3. You want the ones in the pic. KVB 556 M is the correct one. Last week Widener's had these primers for $14 per K. I picked up some more. I did prime a case and primed it only. I inserted it into my SCAR and ran the bolt home, nary a dent. I hope they light off the powder ok. I was using CCI 41's and they worked great for another batch I was using. |

Quoted: The issue is that with the lower brisance versions, some powders will not ignite reliably. You get one internets. Not often you see that word used! <––-ordnance guy.....yet I don't completely understand powder ignition in small arms.... ![]() We'll see how it goes. I'll try some out if I can on Friday. I hope they work. I just loaded 300 of them |

I know it's just nit picking but Wolf does not make primers. They are Tula's. Don't they market military style primers? They are called 7.62 and maybe the small rifle are called 5.56? I have also read that the Wolf "M" primer has a harder cup and not necessarily more heat.(brisance) |
