When UPS delivers a gun, I assume I have to sign for it.  Is that the case or can my wife take it and stick it in the safe while I'm at my real job?  I'm trying to decide if we both need to be on the app for a home base location.

Thank you all.

WalMart doesn't list every employee in the store on their FFL, you don't need to either.

When we applied, we knew that my wife did not need to the on the application as well but we put her on there anyway.  All it took was sending in her photo and fingerprints along with mine.

I wanted to give her a little more "ownership" in the venture and make things go smoothly for any action she may need to take in the future on behalf of the business.

Both my husband and I are members of the LLC, and we're both listed on the FFL.

A signature is  signature.  Best thing to do is talk to your drivers, let them know what you are doing and expect, ie leave nothing w/o signatures because so many will ship firearms w/o requiring a signature.  It takes me a few weeks to 'train' my new driver's up but all works out good so far.  It helps to get their cell #s as well if they will give them out, I always try to call them when I know I am going to miss them, some will let me run them down to pick up earlier in the day etc.  I have found that the shipper's 1800 numbers are worthless but locally you can get great results.
