I have fired several over the years (mostly .45 1911s and 9mm Glocks) because I had a friend/dealer/gunsmith who liked them and stocked them locally, and I've always been interested in one.  they are usually reliable, but they can be a bit on the heavy side (and front-heavy, depending on config./accessories).

Given the BATFE letters related to similar conversions (still haven't seen one exactly on point), I personally wouldn't get one unless I was planning to use it permanently as a rifle from that point forward and never return the frame to a handgun configuration.  YMMV, of course.

Even with that caveat, I am still seriously considering getting one for one of my G21s as I don't know of any PCC that uses unmodified G21 mags except the Kriss –– and the non-NFA Kriss with the 16" bbl simply doesn't appeal to me at all, while the SBR Kriss doesn't appeal to me enough for the cost/paperwork.  Again, YMMV.

Personally, I think a G21 frame with a Mech-Tech unit and the extended Kriss mags would be the proverbial cat's meow.

You seem to bringing one of the features i liked the most into question of legality? So if i understand the website correctly you simply remove the slide and barrel from your glock and slide on a new upper, use as desired and nothing has to be done to the lower so it should be just as simple to restore it to it's original configuration...

How sweet is that?

So the rub is going from pistol to rifle and back to pistol etc.?

even without a stock it could still make for a nice deer "pistol", along the lines of a thompson center type gun.

i can see where it would be forward heavy.

any better 10mm dedicated pcc's in this price range???

I don't want to derail your thread with that discussion –– I've seen it happen, I've even inadvertently done it myself before.

I'll just post some links so you can read and come to your own conclusions on this very contentious subject. If anyone wants to discuss it further, please start a new thread and we'll do so.

hmmm

started off thinking i wanted one of these

then i thought no way one is going to be enough, better get one for 45 an 9mm as well as 10mm

reality says it is better to let it be..

i will look for other options as i have enough things to worry about currently.

I recently got the .38 Super CCU.  I've not extensively tested it, but it's fairly accurate and the quality of the unit seems pretty good.  It's ugly, especially with the 1911 frame I'm using, but I didn't buy it to win beauty pageants.

You tell me:

Have a G29, G20 myself.  And this too in 10mm:

If you have any AR-15s, shooting PCC transfers skills directly.  Why not get a real AR-15?

I've shot a few Mech Techs at the range - Glock and 1911 versions and they just don't shoulder like a real full-fledged carbine.  Remember, it's just a kit.

For me, get the AR-15.

I have a mech-tech upper in 10mm mated to a Glock 20series lower. I actually bought a Glock .45acp. It was
easier to find a used one than a 10mm one. Cheaper too.

I never can remember if the 21 or 20 is the .45.

G21, G30, and G36 = .45ACP.
