Is it ok to mix manufactues of shell holders and dies?

I have Hornady .458 socom dies and an RCBS shell holder.  Is it ok to use components from different manufactures?  Any special instructions for doing so?

Thx, Brian

No problem that I know of, I use a mix of RCBS and Lee holders.

While I’ve done it in the past and not had any problems, I heard other reloaders suggest its best not to mix brands.

But if you’re using either a gauge or the rifle chamber itself to set the headspace, I can’t see it making any difference.

Granted, I don't know if anyone makes a .458 Socom gauge.

I use RCBS shellholders with RCBS, Lyman, Hornaday and Lee dies, no probems.
