Hi guys, i just got my approved form 1 back for my bobcat mp5k clone pistol.  What stock and vert. grip are you guys using?  I like the choate and b&t but what is working good for you?  I like a tight cheek weld.  Also, got any pics of the stocks on your gun?  And any good sources as where to buy them?

Thanks

I have an SBR'rd HK SP89 that I am using the B&T "shortie" version on....it is about an 1.25" shorter than the current B&T stock (it has since been discontinued). It has very good cheek weld and is rock solid. I love mine.

I have heard good and bad with the Choate stock so take it for what it is worth.I think people buy that stock because they want the original look of the MP5K, but when they get it they are a little dissappointed in function and application. Also, do not waste your money on the knock off B&T stocks on sites like Cheaperthand**t, they are terrible. The original B&T's fold to the right ...the knock offs fold to the left.

As far as vertical grips, I have an original HK. My theory was that if I ever wanted to sell it, the extra money to have an original would be worth it. There are many after market grips and some are better than others. Alot of the after market grips do not fit that well and I have heard of people using two way tape to keep them tight. A smart man told me "You only pay for qaulity once". You asked for opinions, and these are mine.

Go with the B&T stock, you won't be disappointed.  As for the original PDW type stock, go with a Choat as they make them for HK.  One time I went thru 12 HK marked PDW stock and not one of them was straight when opened on an HK SP89.  But finally after going thru 8 Choat stocks, found one that looked the straightest and used that.  Had 3 B&T stocks and they were all straight when opened.

I have the Choate stock and it works fine on my HK . It is a tight fit  though. Cant speak to clones.

That's my setup, too, I love it...  The B&T also fits my BW89...

I don't think the price is great, but DSA is the official importer and thus there isn't any competition on pricing.

Dealers get a whopping 5% or some crap like that...

Maybe try to find a used one.

You can also find them on HKPRO.com from time to time if you post a "want to buy ad".  Also, check with HKspecialist.net and HKparts.net (sorry, don't know how to make them hot) Good luck!!
