Last week I ordered a Butler Creek bull target barrel and stock combo. I have three pretty new and little used 10/22s.
After having a hard time getting the stock to line up in place to bolt on I find that the trigger will not set( not sure of the tech. term). I pull the bolt back but it's not catching whater ever it is that sets the trigger. I may have knocked something loose when I tapped the rifle rubber butt on the floor to make sure it was seated. I have taken off the stock and barrel and still have no click after pulling back the bolt. Any help would be great. After playing with AR15s for five years I decided to play with these. Thanks Dave |

I have taken the trigger group out, no pins are missing as I didn't take any out to begin with.Other than needed to drop the trigger housing.
Im not familuar with the 10/22 parts, but the trigger will not drop no matter where the saftey is. Also with the trigger section out ,when I shake the rest of the rec. I hear some stuff rattling around. Im sure something came loose in th main body of the rec. But do not know enough about the trigger housing to understand if it's like a ar set up . Cock and fire with thumb holding on to the hammer. Thanks for all and any help with this. Dave |

I have three pretty new and little used 10/22s. Thanks Dave If you have three 10/22 rifles compare the one that is not working to one that is and see what is different. edited for spelling errors. OK Wise Guy, I Tried your advice.... and it worked. Poped another one out and compared them and found the round saftey had rotated 180 degrees( was upside down) I turned it over with a pair of bent nose pliers and like magic it works now. Thanks Dave |
