I lost my Leatherman, I've had it for about 15 years so I got my money out of it. I carry a benchmade Stryker so having a big blade isn't a necessity for a multitool. after extensive interneting I've come across 2 that peak my interest. the leatherman OHT and the SOG B 66. I am usually around my truck so I have access to my toolbox if I need it but I was just looking for a robust tool to do some light and medium work. I don't need a C4 punch or a bolt scraper or a sight tool just something for my front left jeans pocket while Im out and about.

any feedback or suggestions  will be greatly appreciated

Leatherman surge. Its the only one you will ever need.

I have the original - I've been carrying it off and on since 1995 when I used it for my job.

My wife gave me a Leatherman MUT for Christmas.  Damn, that's an awesome tool.

only issue with the mut is it is to specific to the AR platform. love the concept but its too specialized for a multipurpose tool for me

I still like the Wave.  Comfortable, but nice and solid... no plastic pieces.  Blades on the outside, everything you need, nothing you don't.   Leatherman definitely stands behind their products.  I found an ancient PST once, buried on Sicily DZ, rusted solid, blades snapped, and beat to hell.  Mailed it to them and they sent me a new one, no questions asked.  They'll replace any part you manage to break.

I got a factory clip for my wave about a month ago and it hasnt left my side since. I honestly dont know how I lived without it since I use the non knife tools on a daily basis. The knife sucks obviously compared to my PM II but Ill take the trade.

I settled on the Gerbers 20 some years.     Im really hard on mine at work.     I just replaced my original one a couple years ago.     I love the one handed plier deployment

My work multitool is a Gerber, because I can flick out the pliers with one hand to clear chips when running the lathe. If I'm not at work, I'm usually carrying a Wave, but I just picked up a cheap and beat Charge TTi that I sent back for loose pliers. I'll probably throw the Waves in the glove box/chest rig and carry the Charge when it comes back.
ETA - The Gerber was given to me with twisted pliers and both blades reduced to stubs. I sent that back, and they they upgraded me to one with carbide cutters, and also a new belt pouch.

Pics from "Proof of Life"?

I started with a SOG many years ago,
but I went to a silver Gerber & recently
picked a nice used milspec black Gerber.
I have carried all of those next to my wallet
for EDC.
