| hellow to the arfcom community,i am a new member and just wanted to introduce myself to u all. im a truck driver from northern mn and drive all over the u.s. on my time off, i love hunting,camping,fishing and anything outdors. i own several firearms (13) and enjoy target shooting as well. my next firearm will be the ar 15 that i will put together myself. if anybody can give me tips on what not to buy that would be great. i never owned a ar so im green on this gun. thanks to all and i hope to hear from u |

welcome. before you buy your first ar, try to go to a gun show and look around and see all the different configurations that are available. also read the different categories in the ar-15 section here. when you decide what you want, check the EE (equipment exchange) under complete rifles and lower receivers. i'm not gonna get into which brand to buy because everyone here has their favorite. good luck and good shooting. |
