I've saved my nickels and dimes. What press so I buy sub $800?

Dillon XL650 just be selective with the options. You can always add to it later.

A bit more information would be somewhat helpful in order to give some opinions. How about you start with:

1) What do you want to reload as in caliber(s) and the amounts you wish to do as in say X per month and

2) Is the $800.00 your total you have to spend or the amount you have for the press only plus more on the side for say dies, trimmer, powder, and so on.

Progressive or single stage?

How many rounds do you shoot a month?

How long do you want to spend reloading?

Speed and quality will cost more.

Does your budget include all reloading tools, or just a press?

i may be biased, or just inexperienced. I'm quite happy withy Lee pro 1000. I still use it to load one round at a time. It gives me te ability to pull the cartridge and check powder. I'm sure there are faster presses, but like I said I enjoy loading this way rather than a single stage. Maybe as I gain experience or confidence, which ever you want to call it, I'll change my view. Just my opinion from a novice reloaded.
