So just out of curiosity, I've seen people say about opening the gas ports a little to make a shotgun run better with low brass, my question is, what happens if you open them up "too much?"

You start to batter the action and cause premature wear.
If you want an 1100 to be reliable you need to open up the ports though.

Thats kinda what I thought, exspecially when you would then switch to high brass stuff. Is there a "standard" size people use?
