| A few months ago, I had my L1A1's barrel cut down to 17.25 inches and theaded to accept a phantom flash hider. After the first range trip, the flash hider began coming lose after about 25 rounds. Placed red loctite and allowed to dry after torquing. Second trip, at a training session, 20 rounds into the class, flash hider flew downrange. Recovered the flash hider, treads on the barrel looked ok, was able to re-thread the flash hider. Any suggestions: more loctite, more torque, peel or crush washer? If peel or crush washer, where do I get one? Tried a crush washer from midway usa for ar10s, but inner diameter was too large and just slid over ther barrel. Phantom flash hider from DS arms and gunsmithing from Entreprise Arms. TIA |
