I'm loading up .308 with Winchester 147 gr FMJ BT rounds and using reloader 15 powder.  Following the speer reloading manual it says the start charge is 45 grains, but this seems to fill the case up too much with powder.  Is this ok?  I dont want to create too much pressure.

RE-15 is on the slow end of the burn range for that bullet weight.

How full is full?  Is spilling out, up to the base of the neck, or up into the case shoulder?

Alliant data shows 57300 psi for 46.3 grains with a 150 grain bullet.

If it's not spilling out of the case, I would load it.

Thanks for the info.  Ya, it is not spilling out of the top.  I just wanted to check.

Use a funnel with a long drop tube and trickle in the powder slowly. It will settle better in the case and it won't appear so full.
