I am trying to come up with a good load for my Windham AR. I have used IMR 4198, Winchester 748 and Alliant AR Comp. The AR Comp has given me an average speed of 2850 fps. I am loading Winchester 64 grain power point bullets. I would like to have a good hard hitting load for hogs. Anyone have any suggestions?

Speer 70gr Semi-Spitzer with 26.0 grs W-748... of course PLEASE work up to this load... it's served me and others well on hogs and deer.

I have just started playing with the 64gr Nosler and Varget. I figured great, I'll post up what I have come up with so far. When I went to look at my log book I had put the header in and nothing else so I have no record from my Chronograph work. I'm a dumbass

If only we had a reloading forum on this site, oh wait

I use 25.0 gr of W748 under a 62 gr bullet and 25.8 gr of W748 under a 55 gr bullet.  I would assume a little less for a 64 gr bullet like maybe 24.8 or 24.6.  If you aren't loading around there, you may want to load up a couple rounds with that load and see how it shoots.

I use a little less 748 with a 69 gr. SMK. 1/7 Colt Hbar. That's my competition load, shoots great, but I never bothered to chrono it. But it seems like the loads people are suggesting are in the ballpark.

All of the powder companies publish loading data on their websites.
My go to site is Hogdon, They have loads for all of their powders.
