| I did a search and I couldn't find any data in the faq or using the search function. I apologize it its a repetitive question. Do any of you guys reload for an fal. I'm getting a 550 pretty soon and I would like to reload for my 308 fal but not sure if its worth it or not. I have an stg58 and it is a little rough on the brass. I figure the next trip I make to the range I will try to 'fine tune' the gas setting to see if I can get it to be a little more gentle. Is it a bad idea to reload dented brass? Thanks in advance!! |

NO REASON at all not to reload for your FAL, I do it and have done for some time now and know LOTS of others who do as well..
Get your gas right and the rifle aint bad on brass, and coming up with a load that works is pretty easy.. I have a couple that work great and could share the info if your interested.. There a several powders that work quite well, bullets I like are usually 147'a but 150's and others work fine too.. The STG58 is a very nice rifle, it was my first and I thought my only FAL but things went south fast after that.. |

I would be very interested in hearing what loads you use. What kind of powder do you use? How many reloads are you getting out of your brass? thanks. |
| I'm reloading for my para carbine. I'm using some Accurate data 74 powder that I got cheap about 2 years ago. I duplicated the m80 round using my crony and have 4 reloads on some Rem and LC brass. Just turn your gas setting down so its easy on the ejected brass. |
