| anybody use montana gold bullet heads for reloading? what did u think of them |

Quoted: I have shot the 115gr. FMJ-RN, 124gr. CMJ-RN, 115gr JHP, 124gr JHP, and 147gr CMJ in 9mm and the 158gr SJHP in .38 Special and .357 Magnum. They are excellent bullets. However, they are not intended to actually expand, FYI. Exactly right!! MGs are very consistant, good quality, inexpensive bullets. Just don't expect them to be something that they were never intended to be. These bullets are intended for high volume use in competition, practice, and plinking applications. They were never intended to be used in a self defence role. If your looking for bullets with devestating expansion (or any for that matter), look elsewhere. Same goes for Berry's, Ranier, Zero, ect... |

I load Zero's <[email protected]> 185gr. JHP's with 9.3 gr. HS-6 producing about 900 fps. Comp. barrel .45 ACP. In gallon water jugs & soaked paper they surely expand to about .70".
The lead core is rather soft. Haven't tried them in critters or zombies. |
