I am thinking of purchasing a rem 700 in .308 and was wondering if any one has or if you can shoot the mil surplus NATO ammo in it?
Is the 7.62x51 and .308 like the .223 and the 5.56? thanks 39 |

The bolt seems to close just a touch tight on the Cavim when compared to any factory 308 ammo or any of my 308 handloads that are sized in a 308 die and properly trimmed. It could be that the Cavim is just Argentine junk rather than any spec differences between 7.62x51 and 308. I won't shoot it in my Remington |
