ok, i pulled a dumbarse move. got 200 pieces of .458 socom brass brand new, went ahead and primed 150 pieces. finally got a case gauge and the primed cases do not go in the gauge. they need to be resized.
should i deprime the cases? or remove the depriming pin and resize? and if this is a dupe, i am sorry, searched and searched, couldn't find any topics. |

Pull out the de-capping pin from your de-cap/re-sizer die.
Lube cases and re-size. Remove the lube......test the re-sized test case in your gauge. When you're satisfied that you have achieved the correct re-size. Do the batch (remember to do some gauge testing throughout the production run). Clean off the lube from the production run (and don't put the primed brass in a tumbler).  Yes, it has happened before.
