| If it's just a normal flight of stairs then that shouldn't be too bad with a few friends and a hand-truck rated for that amount. Just really strap it down to the truck tightly. You can rent the really nice hand trucks used for moving fridges and other appliances from most rental places for a few bucks. |
| Also take a look at the safe and see if the door comes off, on most models with external hinges, you can just lift the door off. That should save you 100 lbs or so, but as other have said, 400 lbs up the stairs with a dolly and a couple people isn't too difficult. |
