You do know right that they cash the check as soon as they receive it.  Your Form 1 most likely isn't even in their system yet (it usually takes around a month before it goes pending).  I wouldn't expect your stamp to be approved until after Independence Day..

see nfatracker.com and look in the NFA sections under the Armory

damn.. i read somewhere that they deposit the check when application has cleared.  i guess that info is wrong.. waiting until july will be painful..

yup... at the EARLIEST, mid-July. it all depends on the examiner.

ted clutter did my first batch of Form 1's and it was about 90 days door to door. my suppressor i forget who did it, but it was also 90 days door to door.

christina farris did my last Form 1, sent in mid october, didn't get it until a couple weeks ago.

I've never waited over five weeks door to door to get three Form 1's & one Form 4 returned approved. I just sent off for another Form 1 last Friday so we'll see if that speedy approval rate continues.

likely you have about 80 days, give or take a few, from the check clearing date. Best to forget about it for a while.

You're not unlucky. The NFA approval process is just a long wait usually for everyone. Accept this or don't get into NFA unfortunately.

Anyone know what kind of checks they do in the months between receiving the paperwork, and issuing the stamp? Or do they just sit on them to make it less convenient.
