Sorry if this has been done before-

I went to get a 10x42 Super Sniper but accidentally bought the 16x42.  I know SWFA will swap it if I want, but I might just avoid the hassle if the 16 will do it.  I just want my M1A to shoot out to 2 or 300 yards and I know the 16 is a lot of magnification for that.

With the 16 will I be short-changing myself at 100 yards?

Is it worth swapping out?

I have been very happy with my Bushnell Elite 3200 10X. But I rarely shoot past 100 yds, thats all my local range is set for.

If I shot out to 250+ alot I would try the 16X. But I have old, tired eyes too. And yes, my Bush rifle is actually great w/ irons at 100 yds.

10x is good to a thousand for me . depends if your just shooting  groups or doing tactical work with it.
that being said I target shoot at 50 yards with 16x but have a very small field of veiw which is fine for Just target shooting the tightest groups possible
