I've done some reading online, and it seems that most scopes come from one of three sources: 1) Independent manufacturers in the US (leupold and burris), 2) One of two large manufacturers in Japan- Light Optical Works (High end bushnell and most other mid priced scopes) or Hakko (Tasco SS, Springfield Armory), or 3) Somewhere in asia that you don't want to know about (cheap bushnell, simmons, tasco, etc.).  It is my understanding that the marketing company sets a price point, and the manufacturer builds to that spec.  So, given this, it seems that Sightron is one of the least expensive scopes coming out of Japan.  Does anyone have knowledge or experience with these scopes?

I have a Sightron 4-16x42 duplex reticle on my Steyr .30-06 ProHunter.  I haven't used it that much yet, but my first impressions are good.  Bright optics, well made.  And it's hard to beat the price.
