Need help

A friend of mine gave me this rifle. Trying to decide if I should hang this on the wall or look into putting a barrel liner in it. The breech is kinda buggered up. Any suggestions would be helpful. Would like to find someone here in Ohio to look at it.

look up the Midway rimfire chamber iron

those things are cool as heck, but very finnicky on cycling.  But I bet you can find an ammo to get it to run after the chamber iron

The rifling is very rusted and the breech has a large indentation from the hammer.

The rifle looks like it's all there so, if you think it's worth it, take it to a gun smith and see what it would cost to reline the barrel and clean up the breach area. With a liner, the rifle should shoot like new. Believe it or not Redman of Redman barrel liners actually does relining but I don't know what the cost would be. Go to the Redman website and you can check the cost; Redman barrel liner service

I had one when I was a kid and I'd like another one some day.  I don't recall cycling problems, but they will leak gas into your face and eyes.
