Kidd if you have the $$. I just got a Hi-desert-dog 16" spiral fluted and threaded barrel. Wasn't very happy about the shipping...(I have a thread in here somewhere), but the barrel looks really nice. We'll see how it shoots... My HDD 16" 77/22 threaded barrel had a ton of run out. The thread job was bad enough that the silencer was a hair off the shoulder. The barrel came with the worlds crappiest thread protector. A friend said that he could make one for me. While he had the barrel, he noticed the runout and the shouldering problem. He chucked it up in his lathe and fixed the problem with a skim cut and made a great stainless thread protector that actually matches the barrel. I will not be purchasing from them again, there are many better options out there. Other than that, the HDD barrel is a Green Mountain barrel and it shoots great. If I were doing it again, I'd just get the GM barrel and have it threaded by someone better. For a 10/22, get the TacSol. It's a great barrel. |
