could be the firing pin channel is gunked up with grease/cosmoline uncle Piotr pig dropping.  clean throughly and try again, or it could be the ammo isn't any good, especially if it's old surplus stuff

Easy way to check if you have sufficient firing pin protrusion is to remove the slide and use an object to press on the back of the firing pin.
The tip of the pin should extend at least 1/8" from the breechface.
The hammer may be catching as it falls into the firing pin slot on the back of the slide and/or the hammer mainspring may be too weak to provide sufficient impact power.

My firing pin was ate up form years of corrosive ammo.  You might need to pick up a new one and a spring kit.

You'll also want to scrub the firing pin bored with a bronze brush to make sure it isn't rusted.

Take your firing pin out first, clean, reassemble and see if by just holding the slide, pushing on the back of the firing pin with a small punch or pen and see if it comes out the front

E-gunparts

I ordered this exact one and she works fine.  The 1930 and 1933 models only differ in a few ways.
