'Ultimate' means different things to different people. After many many 10/22 builds my current 'ultimate' is an SBR pocket rifle. On rimfire central 'ultimates' usually mean 10+lb bench rest rifle with a scope as big as your arm. Do a lot of thinking ahead of time and build something that works for you.

Here's mine.  Small, very light, more accurate than I am.  Love it!

Edited to add:  Tactical solutions barrel, Kidd single stage trigger, Volquartsen extractor, Hogue overmolded stock.

My ultimate 10/22 starts with an Archangel g36 stock kit. Still working on getting one. And a 10/22 that doesnt have prior sentimental attachment so I can change it from its current configuration.

After going through a several 10/22's and many iterations, this is the ultimate suppressed 10/22 I settled on.

Ruger receiver, Que reworked stock bolt, PWS barrel, and Ruger DSP stock. KID single stage trigger group with long mag release (really like this), stainless recoil assembly and bolt buffer. Nodak Spud sights and of course the Liberty Kodiak TL can. The sling is from Levy Leathers.

For an offhand rifle I could not ask for more. It balances much like a stock DSP, without the noise.
