What makes some better then factory? it just seem like a block, im will say its the only  thing original on my ruger.

I have a Tactical Solutions v clamp. I suppose it does what's it says its supposed to. Bought it on Midway.

The factory blocks are not what you would call precision made, they have a very loose tolerance on fit and angles and some tend to promote barrel droop by pulling down on the barrel when tightened. The aftermarket ones are designed to pull the barrel in square and level to help eliminate barrel droop. But since the cast reciever is not a precision machined piece either they dont always help with every rifle!

I opted to not buy one when I bought all my parts for my Kidd conversion. Cant tell that it hurts anything because the rifle shoots impressively little holes.
