I decided to take the extra step with my HD shotgun, and mount a light setup on it. I have never had a weapon mounted light of any kind, so I do not know what to look for.
I would like something that does'nt break the bank, maybe the $150 range? And something that doesnt blow a bulb, or the battery cover off every time I fire off a buckshot. My gun is a Mossberg 500a, 20" 8+1. So arfcom, what do you suggest? Thanks in advance. |

A hunk of rail at 10 oclock on your foregrip, like the magpul MOE rail, then a Viking mount with surefire
Viking mount Or put a TLR on the rail. Both will fit your budget. Look them over, you will get the idea. Both of these work well on 12 gauge and the TLR gives you flexibility in the fact it can quickly and easily be moved to handguns and makes a good handheld light too. |

I have that viking mount for my AR and I hate it. Cheap plastic which bends when tightened down, difficult to get the insert out, screws fall out when removing it, etc.
I'm using a CDM MOD-C and its pretty good. Holds the light very close to the shotgun too, which I like. |
