| I have a heavy barrel 5.56 on a rifle that I love to use in multi gun. Just curious as to how many rounds you get before a barrel change. Mine is still going strong no problems. No telling how many rounds are on it I have had it a long time. |

I've retired two SS button-rifled barrels at 5800 rounds when impacts weren't as tight to my shot calls. I'm slowly burning a SS cut-rifled and CL button-rifled that are at 4k and 3k respectively. I'm hoping for 8k. Every now and then chrono an index load and group at a longer distance (500/600yds preferred). Bryan Litz currently says that firecracking can cause inconsistent BC and shows up as abnormal vertical stringing or corner shots if it's windy. |
