If you're going to have an all Firebird upper with JP's BCG you should just have Firebird build it for you on your lower. Since you're going with the light buffer and BCG set-up without an adjustable gas block it might be easier to have some skilled hands putting it together and testing it for you.

Just a thought from someone who has hit every snag in the world in building rifles. Otherwise you look to be off to a great start. If you don't want Firebird to build it I'd consider going with a good stainless barrel, something like JP, Noveske, Rainier, or something similar.

Clint that's sorta where I'm at with the upper. I think I'm capable of getting it together but I would rather somebody like Firebird do the finishing touches.

Doing the manual side of putting together an upper is not very hard at all, what you buy when you someone like Firebird or Loki do the work is the experience and most of the time a warranty just in case.

Of course I prefer to do things the hard way which usually ends up costing the same or more, or taking longer.
