I have a buddy with a membership and I am thinking of joining since I can be there in less than 1.5 hrs. It's one of the few places you can practice with you rifle, pistol, and shotgun the way we shoot at matches. It's only 125 per year and no other ranges allow FMJ, rapid fire, or have a 1000 yard range. |

I have yet to have a shotgun stage slow me down as far as shooting goes. I am pretty fast with the GRS. Now reloads, that's a different story, but that isn't the gun's fault. I haven't seen a reason to switch yet, my M1 is dead reliable, smooth, and fast. I'm used to it, and unless I find a crazy deal on an M2 field with a 21" barrel, I'm sticking with it. This is my first season with the 3G1 rifle, so I'll be getting used to it, maybe next year I'll break in a new shotgun. |

The other day I posted my 'stock' 3-Gun Setup here. Since then I've been to my second match and some changes are still in order. The above pic is from said match, the shotguns are a Mossberg 930 (which did fantastic) and a Remington 1100 (which did not perform well in the slightest). The dissipator is a DIY build of mine topped with a C-More sight, and the Eotech'ed carbine is DPMS with some upgraded internals. The two red dots weren't zeroed in, which was actually fine in the short range but did not work out so well for the 50+ yardage shots. It's all a learning process I guess, two matches on and I still have a lot of work to do. EDIT: Revamped gear and more at the bottom of this page. |

If I am shooting USPSA matches I put a plug in the magazine and its 8+1. For local outlaw matches they don't have a limited so I take the plug out. The reason I got a 24 was simple. They only had 24's and 26's in locally. It was on sale for $1100 so I grabbed it. Pat |

Right around your first birthday I spent an entire Easter Sunday morning watching a hermaphrodite masturbate on a revolving stage while trying to drown my liver in a cat house in Munich. And that wasn't even the wild part, kid. -SM3

I would add a comp to the rifle when you can afford it. I only wish three gun was around in my area when I was in college. Count yourself lucky to be starting this sport when your young. Pat |

Pat Started at age 13. Haven't got much better since . I'm semi serious when shooting NRA high power, but I mainly shoot 3-gun for fun and to practice with my self defense weapons (all pictured above). |

I'm not usually a fan of Sigs, but that gun looks good.

with a man who's the best, with guns, with knives, with his bare hands. |
