What slugs are you using?

Remington sluggers. Full power, they are all i can find locally and its not a big deal for all the shots I need per match.

Federal Premium LE low recoil 1oz for Ft Benning
Fiocchi Aero 7/8oz reduced recoil for local matches

both shoot to the same point of aim with my 21"  LM, with 10/22 sights

Winchester WinLite

Inexpensive, low recoil, and group well out of my gun.

Federal Low Recoil Tru-ball. A little more velocity than necessary, but they shoot straight from my 1100. I also have been trying the Fiocchi Aero 1 oz (1150 fps), which also shoots straight. Remington Low/managed recoil and some others shoot to right of point of aim, so it matters in my gun.

So, do not buy a bunch until you check point-of-impact.

comment on the Fiocchi Aeros.... I had to shorten my Benelli mag spring from 13 > 12" over installed length with my Briley tube to get 8 Fiocchi's as they are slightly longer

I have been using Winchester Ranger Low Recoil and have had success with them.  At around $.72 each that is pretty palatable, especially compared to most slugs out there at <$1 each.

I have considered trying reloading slugs but I'm not sure I can make them cheaper than $.72 each.

Same here. They are the closes to POI/POA for me.

I run Fiocchi 1 oz 1150 fps slugs.  They shoot ultra soft and they are very accurate.

+1 on the Fiocchi Aero slugs - they are all I use.

I'm using Wolf.  Made in Germany, pretty inexpensive, chrono'd at 1380 out of my 18".  Mild compared to the 1600 fps shoulder busters I used to use.  My Benelli doesn't like the low recoil stuff.

Have not tried any Fiochhi, and havent shot slugs in a match yet. Bought a case of Winchester Ranger low recoil slugs and have had pretty good luck practicing with them from 25-100 yards with POA = POI at 25-50 yards and having to aim a little high at 100 yards.

Does anyone shoot their own reloads for slugs?

I do, cast form the Lyman sabot mold.  Just use my regular shot powder charge and switch to the slug and wad instead of wad and shot.  Low recoil, not hard on ;the gun or I.

The only stuff I don't reload are shotguns and 7.62x39 in my collection. But I have been considering it for shotgun slugs.

I use the Federal low recoil tactical LE slugs and they are very accurate out of my Benelli. I have hit steel at 125 yards with them and they always cycle in my shotgun.

These used to be my main stay slugs but accuracy sucked. The good news was they were affordable. But after getting Fiochi I will never use these again unless I can't get Fiochi for some reason.
