Is there any particular brand or type of slug that is better for 3 gun than others?

B & P and Fiocchi are both favorites. But try others what works and has a good point of aim in one gun may not in another. Low recoil is your friend if it runs in your gun so try a bunch of different slugs.

Fiocchi reduced recoil 7/8oz Aero and Federal  reduced recoil law enforcement 1oz both shoot very well in my 21" Benelli....high 60+ yard confidence

Thanks fellows I'll get several brands and give em a try. I have a new Mossy 930 JM that I need to get broken in and see what she likes.

Definitely get low recoil/managed recoil and see what is inexpensive that groups well with your gun.  I use Winchester WinLite slugs.

Same here. The WinLites work well out of my VersaMax. I just picked up 30 boxes of them. At 1200fps they are noticeably softer than the Federal Reduced LE loads at 1300fps.

Fiocchi 1 oz 1150 fps slugs are the softest feeling slugs I have found.  So soft in fact that they won't run in all guns.  Give them a try.  Order a box or two of their spreaders while you are at it.
