Too slow, many have tried it. So far I know of no one using it
As for legality ?  it SHOULD be OK but a few MD's have said it's an optic, even though it's not.
Calling it an optic is just ignorance of what it is.

I bought one and played with it for a while.

I just could not get the hang of it... slow to line up.
