UPS mancame today bearing gifts. My order from Amazon:
Tamrac Adventure 10 backpack Nikon D700 Dslr Nikon 14-24 2.8 ED Nikon MB0D10 vetical grip 2 Kingston 8G 133X compact flash cards I took a couple pics with my P6000 
Annnd the butt shot 
In the bag you see my 70-200VR 2.8 (I am a wedding photographer) Sorry I had to show everyone this is the nicest setup I have ever had (besides my Bronica Etrsi) so am VERY excited. I will be taking this out west for about a minth this summer (actually starting Monday) so I should have some pictures to share soon. |

Congrats, you will LOVE it!!!! I had and used one for a few months, and it was a very tough decision to let it go  That camera just does everything I want a camera body to do, it's absolutely fantastic...and that's coming from a Canon shooter.In the end, only reason I got rid of it was because the Nikon lens line up for what I wanted didn't make as much since as the Canon line up for me. If the Nikon lenses that I wanted were there, I would have been a convert because of that camera, the D700 simply rocks!!! Enjoy!  |

No doubt, the buttons are nice, I thought it would be more difficult for me to get used to them since I'm so used to Canon, but it wasn't at all. The biggest thing to get used to was that everything was backwards though, lol. The dials and the way you take on and off the lens was opposite from Canon, that took me the longest to get used to, and then I had to get unused to them when I went back. Having now done that....I prefer Nikon's way  Plus, I love how much more substantial and solid feeling the D700 was compared to my 5D2. |

I took a few more but that's all I put on PB. I am in KS tonight and hope to get some decent weather in CO this weekend but it'snot looking good. |

I recently got back from a 3 week trip from KS down to San Diego, up to Vancouver, BC then down into the parks (Yellowstone & Grand Teton) and must say that I picked a bad time to hit the parks. Virtually EVERYTHING was still closed, hardly any wildlife, etc. Those mountains sure can play tricks on you... you think it's spring... but NOOOOOO, not up there. Winter apparently lasts 6 months up high. 
I see you posted last night that you were in KS. If you come back the same way and care for some company, let us know. If our schedules and locations line up (and we're not busy having a baby), we could provide a bit of hospitality for the weary road-tripper.

| Well I shot weddings for like 6 years and finally got into digital with the purchase of my D70s, 70-200 2.8, 85 1.8 and , kit 18-55. Shortly after I made that purchase I was in an acident where I broke my leg in several places which I am still recovering from like 3 years later so at the moment I am not actually shooting any wedings. I will be going back to them within a year or so but again at the moment my camera is not bringing in any money so my wife is a little less excited about making thi large a purchase till I get back into it. |

(eta, a $4000 camera phone )? I see one shot in this thread that looks like it has anything (foreground/subject) blown out (snow... c'mon, snow is going to blow out in many scenarios). Overexposing (which I don't think these pictures are, per say) is good on linear digital devices...up until the point you completely blow out something you want to keep. You just have to go back and post-process them to bring things back down to proper levels to make them look right. |
| Well to defend myself a litle here I am on the road editing these imges with PS CS3 on a crappy laptop. So what looks good to me might be a little off to you, that is not to say that they are not slihtly overexposed but in some of those REALLY bright situations I have been underexposing a little. Also I am processing a ton for another forum I am on just to show them to ohers. |

Have you tried using a polizer? I really dig this photo, didnt know it would come out this way (film). Almost unedited... just used color booster on Picture Project to make the sky more pretty.
