I'd like to make a request for a "Homebrewing" subforum, for those of us who make our own beer/wine/cider/mead/etc. It seems that there's a decent amount of interest on the site. I figure it could be under General or maybe Outdoors. |

I will support it. I brew with a 20 gallon capacity on a commercial stove. I also keg.
This effort has been severely lacking around the ranch. I need some current sources for cheap grains and hops. I prefer this place to the homebrew forum, as we tend to be like-minded on many thangs.

I fully support this endeavour, even though I do not homebrew.
Reason is simple: One day, I will homebrew. And when I do, I hope to go to the arfcom brewing forum, and find a tacked thread on oatmeal stout. And when I do that, I will then spend the rest of my days perfecting the recepie, and then sharing it again. So those of us who love Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout will finally have a home replacement, not spend $3/bottle, and be able to spend the rest of their lives not entirely sober.

BYO magazine did an awesome article on Oatmeal 03/07. If we get the forum, I'll post a thread with the recipe. |
