I want to start out by apologizing for putting a CC question up on here. I think most of the time they are fucking stupid.
Anyhow, I got some insulated coveralls that have been keeping me warm this winter and want to wear them to town this weekend. How would a gent carry a Glock 19 comfortably in them? Am I stuck with a pocket .380? |

View Quote my hunting ones have a zipper and I usually throw on a shoulder holster before putting them on. to draw you just have to unzip first, pretty much the same as when I do it with a coat. |

Fanny pack or a Safepacker is how I would do it if I were carrying something like a 19.
I would probably just slip a J frame in my pocket though. |

I've been known to head to the mountains for a weekend and only take a pair of overalls. I cc a J frame in my pocket when I do that.

surprisingly, I found the front pocket on my overalls large and deep enough for a G22.

I'm surprised you have internet access where you live.. seeing your prepping to jump into some overalls and gear up to "head into town"
i am also jealous of where you chose to live.

Man, you sound like you're ready to go to the gunshow, too! Just bathe in cologne, it'll be fine!

For COVERALLS and a normal size piece I'd carty OWB and zipped up-ish or a small pocket pistol.

The pair I got are overalls. They do differ from the standard bibb overalls by having insulation and a zip-up front. The sides come up over my hip area and do not unbutton like traditional overalls. These are cold weather overalls. I corrected myself in this thread earlier. |

If they're like this style then your options are kind of limited. You can try to rig up a holster on the inside of the chest portion like posted above, in a way that it won't interfere with the zipper.
You could wear one off those guide holsters that puts the gun across your chest, but the straps will be visible. You could use one of those belly band type things, and just wear it up really high. If it has pockets that are big enough, you can try carrying in there. If it will fit, I'd try to sew in a mount for a holster to sit almost vertically, with the slide pointing at a slight downward angle from the center of your chest to your hip, with it mounted on the inside of the left part of the chest (or right if you're left-handed), so you can unzip a little and get the gun out. If this works, I'd try to mount it with velcro straps sewn to the inside of the overalls, so you can loop them through the belt loops of a left-handed waist holster. Edit: if it has side zippers like that one does, that opens up some options for hip carry. |
